Marketing Day at the Planned Giving Group of New England

People often have ominous feelings about Friday the 13th, but last Friday I attended our local planned giving council meeting where November is marketing month. Nothing unlucky was happening here.
There were roundtable discussions about marketing topics – sharing ideas of what works and what hasn’t. Sarah Carothers of Harvard University presented, "PG Marketing: Fresh Ideas for Programs" and Sally Glick, of Sobel & Co. presented "Marketing Your Nonprofit Organization."
It was a day filled with “something old is new again,” refreshers, and great examples. I was happy to see that there is still no silver bullet - hard work and dedication still pay off. Here are a few takeaways from the day:
