MFA Receives Bargain Sale Gift of Art
Today's Boston Globe describes a major gift of artwork to the Museum of Fine Arts that a donor sold to the museum for less than market value (the MFA reportedly paid $5 - $10 million).
Sounds like a bargain sale to me, even though those words don't appear in the article.
This wonderful gift is a dramatic reminder that a bargain sale can be a great gift vehicle under the right circumstances.
